On Top of the Tybee Island Lighthouse Video Clip

Cruising Savannah Video Clip

I tried hacking the youtube code to have it embedded here in HD but looks like youtube is no longer allowing these hacks. The better quality version though can still be watched directly by clicking the video link to the youtube page and then you can click on the 'watch in high quality' button.

update***finally I was able to embed a higher quality version of the video here. I've seen videos on youtube that are viewable in HD and I'm still trying to figure out how to upload and embed HD on default. Hopefully, I'll be able to do this on my next upload.

Kids Enjoying their Sparklers on New Year's Eve Video Clip

Here's a video of the kids on New Year's Eve together with their 2nd cousins Mark and Angela and their friends in Jacksonville, Fl. I'm really amazed with the Lumix LX3's low-light capability.

On the Way to the Top of St. Augustine Lighthouse Video Clip

On the St. Augustine Lighthouse -Dec. 2008 from Ariel Magno on Vimeo.

update 2/08/09: The ff. video is basically the same as the above video but it's double the length being a 6-minute clip that I uploaded to 'Youtube' recently. I think I'm getting successful in uploading HD versions of my videos to youtube. You can toggle between the standard quality and high quality versions of this clip depending on your connection.

So Long Summer

Summer is just too hot here in Florida and vacation plans are usually on hold until it's winter unless we're going to the mountains out of state. David and Missy's usual summer activities are going to the mall, swimming, watching a movie, going to Chuck E. Cheese and just playing video games. A few days before the school started, Aug. 14 to be exact, we brought them to Wannado City in Sawgrass Mall. They've been there a few times and the place even had become a regular school field trip venue but we as a family hadn't been there for quite a long time. It's a nice place for kids their age as they explore grown-up jobs but in a perspective suitable for their young minds. They have become doctors, firefighters, police, pilots, etc. in the past and now they tried to be dentists, archaeologists, paleontologists, candy makers, jewelry makers, ramp model (for Missy anyway) among others. They didn't want to be actors and just opted to watch a show but Missy was chosen to be a part of a circus act. It was a long day but we did enjoy the time as a family in Wannado City.

The Pacman with the Boston Celtics

There was no way I'm going to miss Pacquiao's bout with David Diaz. Our good friends , the Baels hosted the PPV event in their home and we gladly went there last night. I won't be indulging much with my views on the match but it is suffice to say that Manny was at his best last night and David Diaz was completely overwhelmed from start to finish. Besides, with the tremendous popularity of Pacquiao worldwide among boxing fans, he is a major draw and all legitimate boxing sportswriters never misses a beat when he fights. Call it a mismatch if you may but Manny Pacquiao was simply unbeatable in this fight. That 9th round KO was just a sort of needed coup de grĂ¢ce.

Now officially a four division champ after wresting the WBC Lightweight Belt from Diaz and the first Asian to be so (five if only the belt was at stake contractually when he first fought Barrera in 2003 when Barrera was officially the WBC Featherweight champ), Pacquiao is recognized as the best pound for pound boxer right now. He is truly 'up there' together will boxing's all-time greats and immortals. And when you have the superstars of the newly crowned NBA champs, the Boston Celtics visit you in the dressing room after your fight, you can be assured the 'Pacman' is the real deal and has clearly reached 'Superstar' status even outside the Philippines. IMHO, this is even bigger than if Britney Spears was the one who visited him. Now if it was Scarlett Johansson, I will have to think about it, hehe!

Georgia and Tennessee Land Video

We visited and ultimately decided to invest in some properties inside 'The Preserve' in Rising Fawn, Georgia last November. I am excited to go back and see the place again. Last week, I checked the local weather forecast and it was snowing. We love the place so much that when we get the chance to tell people about it, we do.

To see two previous posts about it and to see more pictures, click HERE and HERE.

I got this video about the land and the company that manages and sells it. They have a number of different properties in the tri-state area of Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama but IMHO "the Preserve' is the best so here's a video of what I'm talking about. Not only is it 5 minutes away from an interstate but it is so close to Chattanooga in Tennessee.

The quality of the video doesn't really give justice to the beauty of the place but it gives an overview of what to see there. For those who are interested, let me know. There are still lots left as far as I know and this is one really good investment if you don't want to keep it long term as if you don't want to build a house on it.

For more about the company and see an additional video, check their website by clicking HERE.

Awesome Shadow Puppetry Video

This is a video clip that is just so enjoyable to watch. The artist is just so talented. Watch and be amused.

The song/music "What a Wonderful World" as sang by Louis Armstrong lends it a very nice touch. The silhouette of course is of this great jazz singer and musician.

Miniature Earth

Watch this video clip and you can experience a very reflective way of viewing our life here on earth. It also provides a valuable lesson on how we as human beings relate and albeit compare to others. This makes you think that despite our sometimes unending dissatisfaction, we are still very fortunate and that we should be thankful to the good Lord for what we have. Yes, there is inequality in terms of resources we can dip our hands on and if we where born on a certain dot on this earth, we could easily be that downtrodden soul that will have to endure the so called unimaginable hardships of life sometimes even up to the time we die. A few things to remember is that we should learn to be satisfied with what we have and that we should be respectful of other people.
