Thanksgiving Day
We celebrated Thanksgiving with Ed and Edna Trepanier and family. They also invited Mon and Lo Reyes, Charito Lumayno and her hubby to their place. Lo and Charito works at Memorial Regional too. Edna's sister-in-law Glenda arrived home late from work and later some of her friends joined the party.
It was a welcome change as I only made one dish. Made some 'kaldereta' from chevon or goat meat. The last two years we were hosting the Thanksgiving dinner with some friends and when Edna invited us, we said okay right away as we didn't really plan a Thanksgiving party this year in our home. Ed brought home a big smoked turkey from Georgia and that was our main dish. We don't usually cook turkey regularly and it's just right to have turkey for Thanksgiving. I still bought a 12 pound turkey which is the smallest I can find to be cooked probably for Christmas dinner now.
Ed also made a mean green bean casserole and a deer sausage dish. We also had some pork bbq, lumpiang shanghai and pasta carbonara. After indulging in so much food, their guests did some karaoke courtesy of daughter Gail's Magic Sing. David and Missy enjoyed that too.
Took some photos with Ophine's tiny Fujifilm Z3.
