Watching the Miami Heat at AAA

We've been here in South Florida for a long time but we never took the time to watch a live Miami Heat game. I guess it's just easy to take these kind of things for granted.

So on Easter Sunday, April 8, Kenneth, Martin, Ophine and myself drove to the American Airlines Arena to watch the Miami Heat vs. the Charlotte Bobcats, their only home game during spring break period.

If not for the keen interest of Kenneth and Martin to watch a live NBA game, to see Shaq and Wade, we don't know when we'll watch one but one day, we'll do it again and I'd like to bring David and Missy to the game. That would be an experience for the two of them.

We're lucky to see Wade play for the first time again after about 6 weeks of sitting on the bench because of injury. He was a little bit rusty and the Heat players were kind of relaxed as the Charlotte Bobcats won over them in overtime. The Heat almost won in regulation play if D-Wade made both his free throws instead of one during the last 2.4 seconds of the game. What the heck, they already made the playoffs and were just kind of cruising along. Now to watch the playoffs live, that would be another thing. Anyway, we had a swell time.

My Blog has a Mirror Site

I just want to let you know that my http://www.arielmagno.blogspot.com/ has a mirror site and it's is http://ayimagno.multiply.com/. I always write my original posts in 'Blogger' and since I allow cross posting between the two sites, any post I make automatically gets to be viewed on the two sites. The problem is there are still some kinks on the 'Multiply' site. One time, a post still in draft found it's way to the 'Multiply' site so there were times I would 'hide' my blog in the Multiply site. Sometimes, the cross-posting doesn't happen at all thus the mirror site is not really complete. Also, if people wrote comments on the Multiply site, I don't get emails like I'm supposed to informing me about new comments unlike 'Blogger'. I'm sorry about that. Any comments (not spam) are greatly appreciated. Bottomline, the original blog in 'Blogger' is the best bet for complete postings and the Multiply site contains a link to that.

Miami Herald Article with Missy's Picture in it.

Missy and her friend Julinna and even Ophine are included in a Miami Herald photo that came out today in the Neighbors' section of the paper. She's the one wearing the green long-sleeve shirt. The title of the article in print is 'Ringing in Spring' and the photo was taken during last weekend's Easter egg hunt in Forzano Park in Miramar. The online photo is quite small but fortunately we get the Herald everyday. I'm already planning to cut it and frame it for Missy. To see the article, click HERE.

City of Miramar Easter Egg Hunt

This morning, we all went to a park where the City of Miramar held their annual Easter Egg Hunt. As usual, the kids were all so excited. CJ together with her Mom Cathie and the Villarta girls, Justrina and Julinna were also there.

It was just a very fast event and it probably took less than 5 minutes for all the kids to gather every available plastic egg they can get their hands on. The eggs were located in a 'pen' and the kids were grouped according to their age. After that, all were busy opening up their eggs and wishfully thinking that they'd get a special prize. Fortunately,one of Missy's eggs contained that piece of paper stating she won that prize. Well, it's just a gift basket with bigger toys and more candies and obviously Missy felt so proud she won one of the prizes.
